[Vincent shakes his head, gun pointed toward where the scorpion had been an instant ago. Obnoxiously fast little thing...]

I did nothing. Blame the native creatures.

[Not that it matters right now what he may or may not have done... the situation at hand is more important than arguing. That sand is pouring out fast, and there's still a long way to go along this particular corridor. Vincent narrows his eyes and glances at her to be sure she's prepared. Already he's tensed and ready to move.]

There's no time to spare.

[He takes off swiftly, cape swirling around him in a red blur.]

[Perona follows, giving an agonized look at the treasure that's slowly being lost to the desert sand. Such a sad, sad sight...and a true waste of glorious treasure! But she'll have to leave it, and mind her companion. Whereas the sand falling in sheets doesn't bother her while she's in her spirit form, she's sure Vincent will be in a spot if he's trapped here.

Soaring right with him, she can see the entrance to the treasure room as well, and a stone wall slowly grinding downwards, as if to trap the intruders inside. Tch...as if that would work. She can just blow it apart with a Tiny or Special Hollow, yet...maybe that's not a good idea in such a dilapidated place like this.]

Move faster! You'll be trapped in here if you don't--and I can't risk using anything explosive in this tomb! [Not unless true necessity calls.]

[He fears he may have to resort to something more desperate himself, like a transformation... but for now, he continues moving swiftly along, pushing himself to move faster. He's already moving far quicker than a regular human would be capable of... but it doesn't look like even that will be enough.]

...it's too close...

[As he's coming upon that entrance, it's on the verge of slamming shut. But in that moment as he's nearly about to fall into the near-closed entrance, he transforms, a large, humanoid monster replacing the man. He breaks through the stone with a heavy crash.]

[Perona's flying right after Vincent, and though she's fast, she has to quietly marvel at his speed - that's a hell of a lot faster than a normal person should. He must be very, very strong to be able to move at that kind of speed. Did she misjudge him? How careless of her...but it's all for the better. Someone strong and fast would be a bigger help to her.

Though if that person's trapped, that's no help at all. She bites her lip and extends her hand, prepping to throw out a few tiny hollows - there's no other choice but to use some explosives, is there? She'll take a chance and--]

Wh--eeeh?! [Perona screeches to a halt mid-flight, eyes wide with shock. What in the world just happened?! What is she looking at?!] V-Vincent-san?! Wh...what are you?!

[He'll be sure to answer in just a moment once he's de-transformed. For now he gives a growl and continues through the broken doorway, and out into a safer area. Once the immediate threat is gone, he turns back into the form of Vincent once more.]

That's... my ability. Transformation into monstrous forms.

[Perona follows, staying a wee bit away from the large, monstrous form her newest companion just changed into. Not out of fear, but mostly out of shock and hesitation - not a lot of things can hurt her when she's in her ghostly form. It just brings back all kinds of unwanted memories of Oz back on Thriller Bark. Nrrgh...no, don't need to remember that big behemoth. She only goes in closer once he's turned back and hovers a few inches off the ground, looking him over from all angles.]

You transform... [It reminds her of a zoan, though those are usually animals, not monsters. Monsters, though... To transform into a monster like a demon or a devil o-or a werewolf. A vampire!] -Aaaah....how wonderful~! What else is there? Is that the only one?! That one wasn't so nice to look at, but if there are more, I want to see!

There are four in total... but I cannot transform without reason. It can only happen in battle, or if they're otherwise... provoked.

[Though if they're close enough to the surface, or he's in danger somehow... that's when it's also likely to happen.]
